My journey to becoming a driving instructor
From a young age of 23, I dreamt of becoming a driving instructor. Unfortunately, at the time, I just couldn't afford the initial outlay of fees, vehicle, and insurance to start my journey. So, I worked in the NHS for 37 years, setting broken bones in plaster casts. I reached my goal and went as far as I could career-wise, becoming a manager at one stage, only to find I needed to be hands-on and returned to patient care. I taught doctors, nurses, work experience students and attained my "train the trainer" certification. As time went on, I longed for the old dream of becoming a driving instructor. I joined a franchise which provided me with excellent training. I love the job, I love the gift that enables me to help my students get a lifetime of independence, and so it began... my journey to become a dab hand at teaching students to drive.
Building confidence for your driving test
I help my students feel safe in a comfortable environment, enabling their confidence to grow. I give them all I can and extra when required to make them achieve their end goal. My personalized approach ensures you're fully prepared and confident for your driving test in Oswestry, Wrexham or Shrewsbury.
Specializing in nervous beginners
I particularly enjoy helping nervous beginners, gaining their confidence more and more with each and every lesson. I think it's especially important to gain a good rapport with students to enable them to trust me and to encourage client-centred learning to take place. Your comfort and progress are my priority.
